Why hypermiling to save gas?

The combination of hyper miling, translating to “great gas mileage,” is helping thousands of drivers get the most from a tank of gas. With the oil companies continuing to raise prices a new trend has emerged as a way to combat endless, and frequently nonsensical, rises in the price of gas. The concept of hypermilling tries to reduce the time you spend wasting gas. - Pull your car out of gear and roll to red traffic lights
- Accelerate slowly, drive slowly
- Keep tires well inflated, and consider nitrogen for longer lasting pressure 

- Don’t overfill the trunk and weigh down the car

- Coast when you can
- Build your daily commute around making right turns (A recent study done by a major trucking company determined that by planning driver routes around making mostly right turns they were able to save tens of millions of dollars per year!)
